Working closely with the CEO of a Series C climate-tech company on fundraising, strategic planning, capital formation, and finance-function scale-up. My role spans finance, strategy, pricing, manufacturing, and execution, with a focus on helping the business align capital, strategy, and operations to support commercial scale-up. Key areas of focus: • Leading the company's current fundraising process and broader capital strategy • Supporting strategic planning and decision-making with the CEO • Developing pricing & manufacturing strategies to improve commercial traction and long-term gross margin • Designing a plan to build UK manufacturing capacity & supplement equity with lower-cost local financing • Building a scalable, AI-enabled finance function to improve decision-making, efficiency, forecasting, and financial visibility as the business grows
Co-founded Europe's first lease-to-own residential real estate platform, designed to expand access to home ownership through an innovative financing and operating model. Built and scaled the business across product, strategy, capital, software, operations, and team development. Key contributions: • Co-designed the business model and customer proposition • Led fundraising, securing more than EUR35m in equity and EUR160m in debt financing • Built the operating model and corporate structure • Led software development until the appointment of a CTO • Helped build and scale the team and broader platform capabilities • Structured the company to support asset origination, portfolio growth, and long-term scalability This was a highly cross-functional founder role spanning capital, strategy, product, execution, and company-building.
Brought in by the founders to lead strategic initiatives across financing, partnerships, growth, market expansion, and value creation in a rapidly scaling challenger energy supplier. Worked across high-impact strategic and capital decisions in a business that scaled to c. £1bn in revenue and was later acquired by Shell. Selected contributions: • Designed a solution to a £17m capital shortfall by structuring a smart-meter financing program that generated £20m+ of cash flow/profit contribution • Led the acquisition of the outsourced development partner that built the company's billing engine, strengthening ownership of core infrastructure and improving strategic control • Built the partnership structure for smart metering, creating a meaningful revenue and value driver for the business • Supported strategic expansion initiatives including ShellPrivatEnergie in Germany • Worked across fundraising, IPO preparation, decarbonization strategy, and strategic partnerships This role significantly shaped how I think about enterprise value creation at the intersection of capital, strategy, and execution.

Worked across capital raising, business model design, product offering, operations, business development, and strategic transactions.
