Greater Brisbane Area
Upon returning to Australia from holidays I recommenced working for ACS remotely from Sydney/Brisbane; returning to California on a monthly basis. I perform ICT delivery management and other support/business functions within the program, project, and change management portfolio/office.
After working almost constantly for a decade I took some time off and travelled the United States and Europe before finally coming back to Australia in 2016; to resume working for Apricot remotely from Australia.
Responsible for change/program delivery management functions within merger/acquisition portfolio that involved managing numerous strategic assignments and other staff/project managers with activities such as; vendor service contract negotiation/formulation, change framework design, technology proposals, and in general ensuring program/projects were delivered aligned with forecasts. Most activities/programs related to: A) Design/implementation of a single target automated business and/or ERP system and its underlying network/other infrastructure B) Consolation and/or decommissioning of multiple existing medium - large geographically distributed systems . C) SAP, Oracle, SAP/Oracle hybrids, various CRM tenders/implementations and other breeds of COTS and/or bespoke enterprise applications suites. D) Organizational change management framework design and delivery. E) Program/project design and delivery.
In this role I managed a program of work involving two major projects that had significance to Schlumberger’s plan to divest interests in its IT consultancy and card divisions. The 1st project was an open platform smartcard data repository package utilizing sophisticated oracle back end functionality; in the capacity of program manager my primary responsibilities in this role were to direct project/change management design/implementation activities. However, in addition to this, during the early stages when the program was being initiated, I also performed hands on change framework and project delivery design tasks as well. The second work package I was involved with was a trading platform project. In the capacity of business engineer I managed the first few phases of a trading platform e-commerce system for Deutsche Bank that encompassed suite of different systems/applications, including SAP front end functionality that was integrated with oracle back end systems. As the 1st phase of this activity closed out my role on this implementation transitioned into one that, whilst still retaining program/project delivery responsibilities, took on more change management oriented deliverables.
Whilst at this company I performed in multiple roles; architect, integration/project manager, test manager, customer acceptance manager. ERG used to implement automated transaction/fare collection (AFC) systems within major cities throughout the world. The systems encompassed, transaction handling, smart-card technology, dedicated ATM and other devices, extensive in house software development, full reconciliation and reporting functionality; for multiple transit operators and their customers. These smartcard systems are complex, geographically distributed and have back ends that are comparable to Visa; implementations often constituted major program activities with multiple sub-project streams.
