I have always had a passion for problem solving. I think it was inevitable from a very young age that I would end up as an Engineer. Very quickly after choosing Engineering as a career path I found myself specialising in Fire Engineering and have never looked back since. My current role involves ensuring that BB7 operate at the highest level of technical competency and professionalism. As part of this role, I chair the Professional Advisory Board (PAB) which, through its various Technical Networks, is tasked with strategically leading the technical development of the company. The PAB supports and provides expert knowledge and experience companywide to ensure BB7 remain at the forefront of the profession. I am also an active volunteer with the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE). I am IFE's Technical Panel Chair, responsible for helping to drive the technical agenda of the IFE. I am also a volunteer on the IFE’s IRP and IFERG panels, helping to assess and review Professional Registration applications. My specialty is developing innovative fire strategies for a wide variety of complex buildings throughout the world; including offices, atria, shopping centres, stadia, hospitals, residential, mixed use, public assembly, storage, manufacturing and industrial buildings. Other specialties: Fire safety design, developing alternative fire engineered solutions, design of smoke control systems, means of escape, fire fighting, compartmentation, hospitals, shopping centres, atria, negotiations, CFD modelling, project management, inspections, problem solving, cost reduction, human behaviour in fire, fire safety management, computer modelling, fire engineering,
