The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is an intensive leadership program for people who have a passion for technology and a drive for technical excellence. Graduated February 2020.
- Develop and maintain heat exchanger design tools in the internal tool suite. - Support Heat Exchanger projects in tendering and execution phase with design, sizing and costing calculations. - Drive a root cause analysis for a damaged component at a customer site in cooperation with an external pump manufacturer and project partners.
- Manage knowledge of generator installed base (OEM and oOEM) - Support definition and implementation of the generator platform strategy - Track fleet issues, identify and unlock associated commercial potential
Successfully quantified the coupling effect between conduction and radiation in semitransparent, macroporous media using finite volumes and Monte Carlo ray tracing in my own parallelized Fortran code.
Performed CFD simulations of condensing steam in various steam turbine geometries using the previously validated, in-house CFD tool. Contributed to the integration of said CFD tool into the Alstom design toolsuite.
Validated a new in-house CFD tool with respect to droplet size distribution in non-equilibrium steam based on light extinction measurements in supersonic Laval nozzles. Presented the final results to management.
