Worked as a part time hospitalist and part time nephrologist at NYU Langone Health before deciding to transition into a full time nephrologist role in July 2025.
Explored novel mechanisms for gene regulation and their effects on global pathways in the model organism E. coli as a NIH Postbaccalaueareate Cancer Research Training Award (CRTA) Fellow under Principal Investigator Dr. Susan Gottesman, Head of the Biochemical Genetics Section of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology • Characterized the protein Hfq and its role in small RNA regulation in E. coli • Examined the stress sigma factor RpoS (sigma 70) and its role as a downstream regulator of stress response in E. coli
Conducted research in a microbiology lab working with E. coli under Principal Investigator Dr. Steven E. Finkel • Studied the GASP phenotype and competitive fitness of mismatch repair mutants versus wild type • Utilized molecular biology and genetics to study how the rate of mutation influences the generation of genetic diversity and the long-term survival and evolution of bacterial populations
