David is an award-winning theatrical composer/lyricist as well as popular songwriter/producer/performer. The new rock musical INVISIBLE, for which David wrote music and lyrics, won the prestigious NAMT National Fund Grant, founded by Stacey Mindich (Dear Evan Hansen) and funded by Kenny Alhadeff (Come From Away, Memphis), as well as first prize in the NMI Search for New Musicals. INVISIBLE also recently made its NYC debut at the world-famous 54 Below, directed by Broadway legend Marc Kudisch (following a 3-D Theatricals west coast workshop also directed by Marc), starring Krystina Alabado (Mean Girls, American Psycho), Anthony Norman (The Prom), Daniel Amerman (Netlflix's "Arrested Development") and Jordan Goodsell ("Angie Tribeca"). David's work as a popular music artist, songwriter and producer has appeared in TV and film, including "Felicity," MTV's "Real World," "Road Rules" and a host of other titles. David is a queer survivor of ex-gay therapy, whose family of origin were instrumental in founding the Christian Coalition and Pat Robertson's religious empire. Today, David's spiritually inquisitive interests in meditation practices such as vipassana and other modalities have culminated in an ever-evolving artistic viewpoint interested in the intersection of beauty, imagination, perception and truth.
