Planning control of the External Corrosion Portfolio. From project assurance through funding, Pre-Execute preparations into Implementation and close out. Govern EPCM’s planning to ensure they meet Integrated Activity Plan requirements. Work with EPCM on maintaining portfolio taking into account Risk and project yearly budgets. Supervise and closely monitor EPCM’s planning output – Lvl3 project plans and particularly level 4/5 shutdown plans, progress and trends. Liaising with site operations teams with project requirements. . Focus on benchmarking and demonstrating continuous improvement in portfolio performance and cost savings. Reporting and forecasting to Upper management at portfolio level.
Coordinating a team of planners to create PC and Dynamic Commissioning plans for the onshore site commissioning schedules and for the Offshore Commissioning, Hook up and Start up Schedule. Roles included working between three contractor sites (Aberdeen, Cadiz and Dubai) and creating a sub system based plan that aligns with Project Operations start up philosophy, focusing on critical path analysis for first production date. Creating and delivering a report suite to allow control of progress and react to plan variation.
Responsible for annual shutdown plans. From conception to execution. Following BP’s planning procedures to align the plan with the overall BP Northsea functional planning systems. Plan created to minimise production losses. Control of POB for the shutdown period. Plans created to level 4/5 activity. Risk analysis carried on critical path and entire plan to identify tasks with high schedule sensitivity index.
Preparation of a full level 4 plan for a bid for a large scale de-mothballing project in Qatar. Including full resourcing, logically linked critical path analysed Plan in Primavera P6. Creating Planning procedures to allow efficient Cost control reporting and management. Liaising with subcontractors for 3rd party plan alignment.
Working with in the Shutdown team. Responsible for planning all shutdowns for client’s Assets. Role includes conceptualisation and creation of plan logically linked to job card level, creating manning histograms, area histograms. Risk assessing using Pertmaster, Progress through Man-hour S curves, Productivity and Availability. Evaluating critical path and communicating trends or problems to Shutdown management. Solely responsible for the plan through it’s life cycle for the shutdown for all stake holders. Twelve different Shutdowns on Heather & Thistle (Lundin), Kittiwake & Montrose (Venture) and Al Wasel (Dubai Petroleum)
