I am a law student who has spent time working and volunteering in the political arena which has solidified my passion and interest with turning law into a career. My strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with my solid interpersonal skills, make me a good candidate to work with the public. However, I am also interested in positions where I would contribute behind the scenes if needed.

I have a strong attention to detail which is necessary to ensure that all records are complete for each request. Occasionally, I need to use good judgement to decide which records and information are pertinent to each individual case. I pride myself on my accuracy in this position, which is reflected in an increase responsibilities and requests to assist with other positions. Also, it is critical that I protect the security of records and maintain the utmost level of confidentiality.

    In this position, I worked very hard to not only improve my skill set, but also to save as much money as I can so I can relocate quickly and pursue my passion for politics wherever an opportunity presents itself. For several months I worked in a temporary position as an Assessment Scorer. Because of the importance of accuracy with standardized tests, it was important that I follow all the appropriate guidelines consistently. Being detailed-oriented was vital to my success. I stayed with this position until the end of the contracted school year.

    Being a Field Organizer at my Alma Mater provided many learning opportunities which helped to develop my skills even further in a field for which I have great passion. I quickly recruited a team of seven Campaign Fellows and provided daily leadership by delivering training, managing schedules, and prioritizing work. Some of the highlights of this experience were personally reaching 196% to objective with the recruitment goal for Get Out The Vote, increasing Democratic voter turnout in Centre County by 8% over 2012, and working with Surrogates during visits to the campus. Although this position required working long hours seven days per week, the knowledge I gained and the contributions I provided to the team made it all worth while.
