Joined the Group Accounting and Control team in Kaplan's Global Finance. Continue to develop the Internal Audit function in Asia and other functions of the team (Treasury, Control Framework, SOX, etc.) globally.
Acting as the Financial Controller for Kaplan Partner Services, an in-sourced finance services centre/hub located in Hong Kong that covers Kaplan's businesses, agents and contractors worldwide.
Tasked with establishing an new Internal Audit function covering various Kaplan's businesses in Asia
Lead the newly created Pearson Internal Audit team based out of Hong Kong since 2008 with coverage of all APAC countries (including India and Australia) for all businesses in the Pearson portfolio which have included businesses such as the Financial Times, Penguin, and Wall Street English. Beyond internal audit, responsibilities included managing regional compliance activities, supporting due diligence and integration of new acquisitions and supporting regional risk management activities.
Lead the Hilti Asia Audit Team in HK, with a remit that included Asia-Pacific (including Australia and India), the Middle East and South Africa market organisations, production facilities and partners. Also responsible for compliance, investigations, and ad-hoc projects.
As part of the internal audit team or individually, performed operational, financial and compliance audits at company facilities in the Asia Pacific region and North America.
