I am a first generation Asian-American with transportation professional with over 9 years of transit experience and 3 years of project management experience. My significant achievement involves working in bus transit, grant writing, service planning, and strategic planning. I have versatility in working with bus transit system, data analysis, service planning, and network redesign. I am also trained as an urban planner, often utilizing technical tools and data to address equity issues related to urban bus transit systems.
Conduct and oversee major bus network re-design project, Torrance Transit Tomorrow Plan. Oversee the development of the Short and Long Range Transit Plans, transit performance measures, and the monthly reporting ridership analyses. Oversee, organize, and participate in public hearings for fare and route changes, including the development of survey methodologies and data collection activities. Oversee, develop, and produce schedules. Ensure the scheduling, blocking, run-cutting, and rostering processes are efficient, timely, and productive Research, write, and receive multiple grants application including Transit Intercity Rail Capital Program (TIRCP) and Net Toll Revenue Grants. Implement and maintain Federal, State and Local mandates (Title VI and DBE) by gathering, compiling, and analyzing data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting travel demand. Leading new mobility service such as microtransit Direct and prioritize transit planning staff activities to meet/exceed agency’s standards and Short Range Transit Plan. Assess and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for planning department to achieve goals. Establish and develop framework for all transit planning. Establish joint partnerships with data driven companies to help improve customer’s experience and operational performance. Also represent the agency at municipal partners and local service council meetings.
