About

Welcome Reader, LinkedIn has been a great place to stay in touch with my former professional contacts, and it has been an invaluable source for industry news and job opportunities over the last years. Whether you share similar interests or there's a job role you think I should consider, please don't hesitate to connect and get in touch. I am an experienced and skilled software engineer and architect with profound expertise in C++ and embedded systems. I strongly advocate for memory-safe practices and modern software design patterns. Especially in the C++ domain, recent standard revisions (C++17, 20) provide essential language and library tools, though I am very well aware of the balancing act required when supporting legacy code. My passion for software engineering extends beyond my professional life. I am an active member of coding communities in Zurich and regularly participate in online hackathons, coding challenges, and puzzles. This not only helps me expand my knowledge and skills but also allows me to network with like-minded professionals. Allow me to summarize a few key points: * I adhere to the C++ Core Guidelines (B. Stroustrup, H. Sutter) whenever possible. I have professionally used Autosar C++14 and am becoming familiar with the new MISRA C++ 2023 principles. * I am a daily user of Linux with profound knowledge of Linux internals and user space. I am familiar with kernel module development and have professionally used Buildroot for custom-tailored embedded system OSs. * Experience in MCU development, most recently ARM Cortex-M0+ and embedded SoC development, most recently ARM SoC MSM8996. * Cloud and container experience includes designing, deploying, and maintaining a Cloud AWS microservice architecture. * Results-driven software engineer with an eye for recognizing and automating recurring tasks and optimizing existing procedures. * As a software architect, I have cooperated extensively with domain and hardware specialists and regulatory entities. I have written specifications and performed knowledge sharing. * Strong advocate for developing in a memory-safe way and learned the Rust programming language for personal projects. Introduced various Rust network and security components for both on-device and cloud targets for clients. I am committed to continuous learning and when time allows, drive personal open-source pet projects, such as my C++23 async mdns network library, recently strengthen my fundamental knowledge in the AI domain and collect experience with AI edge computing with TensorFlow Lite Micro. Let’s connect.
