I am an astrophysicist with a passion for science communication and education.
Currently, I am employed as a science communicator and science advisor at the Planetarium Südtirol. My main duties, besides academic research, are conducting guides, managing all processes on site, being the point of contact for all inquiries planning and executing exhibitions and producing new fulldome content.
Working on the spectral catalogue of high-energetic gamma-ray bursts observed by the NASA satellite Fermi.
I obtained my PhD in Astrophysics with magna cum laude at the Max-Planck-Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE) in Garching Germany, where I was working mainly on analysis and interpretation of astrophysical data acquired by the NASA Satellite Fermi. My main fields of expertise are the development and programming of new software tools in IDL with which large data sets can be explored and processed easily and efficiently. My scientific discoveries were issued in peer-reviewed publications in astrophysical journals which are highly regarded within the scientific community.
