David’s strong profile in combination with a clear and feasible project idea to support Ugandan farmers andagripreneurs, made him stand out in the competition from a dozen other strong applications. His project has the potential to put theory into practice as well as being a boost for David to gain valuable experiences for a career in the field” says Lars Strannegård, SSE President. The project focuses on bridging the gap between Ugandan agripreneurs and Swedish agtech companies to address key challenges in Uganda’s agricultural sector. Despite being a vital part of the economy, employing over 70% of the population, Uganda's agriculture suffers from low productivity, outdated practices, and poor access to modern technology.
