Over 20 years of professional experience in managing projects across a range of industries and project types. Industries include Oil and Gas, Commercial Construction, and Manufacturing. Project types include engineering, fabrication, construction, manufacturing improvements, new product development, and new product implementation. I have experience as a Project Engineer, Project Controls Specialist, and Project Manager. I am experienced with Primavera P6, Earned Value Management Methodologies, Cost Analysis, Schedule Analysis, Project Controls, Resource Analysis, CPM Scheduling, and Project Management.
The Director of Operations oversees all aspects of daily business performance, logistics, and customer experience. Leads operational strategy across retail, rental, and outfitting services to ensure excellence in efficiency, safety, and service quality.
Responsible for all project aspects, such as work completion, management, and financial performance within an assigned portfolio. Works with client to obtain future work for the portfolio; Manages relationships between the project teams and the client; Communicates progress/problems/opportunities to the company for support, Works with functional managers to forecast/mobilize/demobilize resources to support the portfolio; Assures projects within the portfolio comply with all client and company processes and procedures; and mentors assigned project managers and other team members as required.
Assist in the development of the program structure for the project controls team within the new Project and Modifications Team Program (PMT). Develop the Project Controls Plan, Progress and Cost Reports, and Scheduling Templates for the PMT Program. Work with the client and the Project Manager to develop the CBS and WBS. Coordinate the development of the estimates for the design/engineering team. Work with the Project Manager to create the estimates for the project management team. Develop and maintain schedules across all phases using Critical Path Methodology. Work with design team leads to collect progress against deliverables using agreed upon Rules of Credit. Use CostPoint and InControl to generate cost reports, FTE Histograms, and S-Curves. Coordinate efforts with design/engineering staff to develop change orders as identified. Review invoices created by accounting department prior to being submitted to clients. Mentor junior project controls staff within program and out of program.
To develop project schedules for EPC projects across all phases using Critical Path Methodology. Work with EPMS contractor to ensure proper integration in to Master Control Schedule. Update schedules in agreement with reporting requirements from EPMS contractor. Use SAP to generate cost reports and to develop forecast workbooks for the PM. Develop manpower charts and S-Curves for PMT. Project closeout of the financials in SAP. Use Mindjet to develop the WBS Dictionary structure for input from the PM. Provide the tools to the PM to assure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Develop integrated project schedules for Select, Define, and Execute Phase engineering projects using Critical Path Methodology. Collect progress from Design Team Leads using Rules of Credit and update the schedule for each reporting period. Generate cost reports for internal review. Analyze cost report and schedule and advise management of any variances from the baseline. Work with PM to develop a recovery plan if the schedule or burn rates deviate from the baselines. Develop Excel Workbooks for the Design Team to use when estimating man hours for each phase of the project. Verify accuracy of estimates prior to submittal to client. Work with PM to generate Variance Alerts for scope of work not included in original budgets.
Construction Management, Building integrated program and project schedules for field installation and the fabrication projects. Construction Planner for Superintendent and Project Managers. Monitor construction and fabrication schedules, Maintain CPM, Earned value, and ensure development of accurate estimates for each project. Developed WBS/CBS, Cost Reporting system, Track Material Orders, Procurement, Invoicing, Client Billing, Logistics, Project Manpower requirements, Construction Sequencing. Import and analyze contractor schedules. Submit weekly fabrication schedule to client for field schedule incorporation. Verify and review invoicing, weekly progressing, schedule risk analysis, earned value reports, resource and cost loaded Primavera Schedules. Develop and implement Primavera databases. Develop cost reports and analysis spreadsheets and schedule layouts. Advises management of cost and schedule impacts of design, fabrication and construction changes. Analyzes scopes of work and assists in writing Project Execution Plans, RFIs and Change Orders.
