About

My personal success has always been fueled by my passion to teach and work with people. I’m eager to work, grow, and contribute to an organization that values community and is committed to fostering success. Throughout my career, I have sought opportunities to increase my knowledge and craft as an educator. I have applied my knowledge and experience outside public education. More specifically, being able to be involved as a charter member and board member of a start up private school in my community. This opportunity utilized my expertise in education to address the goals of stakeholders and the mission of the school. Also, my time as a board member with a community credit union afforded me another opportunity to guide and approve fiduciary decisions on behalf of our members that serve the greater community. Prior to my career in education, I was part of the international maritime industry. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing operations and personnel at the port of New York for my principal client. As a supervisor, my responsibilities included, but were not limited to, improving relations with our vendors and our customers. In this position, problem solving and teamwork were a key element to the operation since daily reporting on meeting our goals to our principal client was a measurement of our success.
