As a front-end developer with over 10 years experience, I take pride in bringing a design to life. Being a designer myself, I have a keen eye to bring the coded version as close to pixel perfect as possible. My code is clean and minimal, but at the same time adaptable to the content. Because of this, my code transitions easily into content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress. Since mobile devices dominate usage rates, I take mobile devices into account from the beginning. In an ever evolving industry, I stay current with the latest HTML, CSS, and Javascript trends and am always in the process of fine-tuning my skills. In addition to front-end development, my diverse skillset also allows me to take on web design, general graphic design, motion graphics & animation, some back-end Wordpress development tasks, and general web maintenance tasks. From design perspective, allowing content to dictate design instead of the opposite way around, always leads to more successful outcomes whether it is a website or for print. Form and function are constantly in motion and I strive to find the best balance of the two. I believe a steady stream of dialog between a designer and a client is integral in the creative process. I consider myself to be adaptable and always ready for new challenges where possibilities to learn are available.
I am currently working as a freelance frontend developer and graphic designer. I’ve worked with clients spanning the globe on a variety of project types. These include web design, web development, graphic design, motion graphics, and video editing.
As the Lead Web Developer at Flora, I take a holistic view that takes into account the entire website creation process from content, to frontend, to backend, and project hand off. I'm responsible for bringing designs to life with high-quality code while ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability across the platform. I also architect backend functionality that supports intuitive, user-friendly page management and editing experiences.
I am responsible for a range of website edits, modifications, and improvements which I design and implement. I also do in house marketing and design for Engagency itself.
My ongoing work has been in the production of video assets for their main brand Talk to Santa. This includes the featured opening 3D video seen across their branding. I have also worked on print and marketing assets for their other business ventures.
I am responsible for all things print related. This includes their flagship Tour de Farm event which features a large booklet printed into the thousands. I also create promotional posters and flyers.
