-have started doing Cath Lab cases (embolization and stents), motor mapping, DcMEPs, training on: VEPs, Brachial Plexus repairs, and CoMEPs. Also still doing Complex Spine and Craniotomies with Cranial Nerves monitoring.
Setup and real-time data collection of intraoperative Seeps, MEPS, sEMG, EMG , ABRs, EEG, and cranial nerve monitoring. Cases covered include Spine, ENT, Neuro, and Vascular. Currently training to do cortical/subcortical mapping. Documents and communicates with neurologist, surgeon, and anesthesia during surgery. Monitors multiple modalities during the case, watching for changes, taking into consideration anesthesia, positioning, among the other biological factors, and relaying information to the online neurologist and surgeon. Does pre-operative patient assessments, consultation, and case documentation. Establishes and maintains the staff and surgeon relationships, while looking for ways to increase business and customer satisfaction. Ran Cadwell Surgical Studio.
Setting up and monitoring patients with subdermal needles for EEG, SSEPs, MEPs, sEMG, tEMG, ABRs, and cranial nerve monitoring. I watch for changes in neurophysiological signals, taking into consideration history, anesthesia, positioning, among the other biological factors. Document and communicate with neurologist, surgeon, and anesthesia during surgery. I have monitored multiple modalities during cases including spine procedures, Scoliosis correction, Brain surgery for AVM, tumor, aneurysm clippings, Vascular procedures, and ENT procedures. Competent using Cadwell, Medtronic NIMS and Nuvasive's M5 machine.
Hooks up patients for sleep studies, educates patients, scores studies, split nights, titrations (cpap, bipap, auto SV), seizure studies, parasomnia studies, DME setups and sales, MSLTs, MWTs, day studies, OSA screening for inpatients, Sleep educator for Butterworth and Blodgett hospitals, scheduling, and troubleshooting of equipment.
