About

I entered the true "corporate" world as a commissioner in a call center in 2012 after a couple part-time after college jobs. Two years in this position gave me a great foundation of understanding of EMSs (Energy management Systems) and taught me how to talk to people. Since then, I moved into the QE (Quality Engineering) department and I am now the Manager and get to teach others how our EMS works and to install it. On several occasions I will go out to a site and supervise/participate in the install. One of my passions is learning how things work, which I have the pleasure of doing almost daily in my position.       Completely rebuilt training materials (PDFs, PowerPoint Presentation, Labs, etc.) for channel partner needs. Built training boards for hands on training and wiring demonstration during the GridPoint Installation Training course. Manage and oversee installation quality and installation training. Maintain installation quality through remote and physical audits. Instruct the GridPoint Installation Training course for internal employees including executive level members and field installers. Created an ongoing installation video series for training of internal and external personnel. Approved/created opportunities including a scope of work and a bill of materials for installation using www.salesforce.com. Create technical installation documentation for both in house support team, installer field use, and customer planning. Create system one line drawings consisting of detailed point to point connections between all site specific devices using Microsoft Visio and Inkscape software. Collaborate with the Hardware Engineering team to ensure prototype devices are sufficiently tested before field release. Work together with sales/installation management teams to put together pre-determined bill of material for potential customers. Resolve hardware/software compatibility and connectivity issues for support and field teams. Train others on new firmware developments. Head of GridPoint Safety Committee since 03/2017. More than 50% travel.

      Tested the GridPoint EMS once it was installed to ensure functionality. This involved confirming CT (current transformer) readings, testing thermostat operations for HVAC control, testing lighting contactors for proper control/schedule, confirming refrigeration temperatures, door switch status, humidity, and CO2 readings, and programming PLCs. We were required to be on a rotating 24/7 call list for a week once every 6 weeks.
