I have over 30+ years of experience in Façade/Architectural /Interior Design/Management and Factory Coordination /Q.C. Inspections My present role as Director (since 2003) of my own company and representing my clients in the Office /Site/Factory roles has given me extensive design/management and coordination skills making me a good team player and leader. W.S.P. - China The above included conceptual/shop drawings design, management support and problem solving during site, factory and actively participated in meetings with clients, architects and engineers. I also provided interior design and management to many other clients ranging from apartments, bars and office/showrooms in Hong Kong. My knowledge in different facets of the industry (façade, architectural, interiors, façade Q.A. Inspections and E & M Coordination) enables me to understand the needs of other parties involved in the construction of a building. I am a very adaptable person as all the above experience has taken me to different countries (Macau, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, United States, Thailand, China and Emirates).
Hired to support the Hong Kong/China office with sourcing of building materials for clients in the U.S.A., Spain, Portugal and Japan. • Attending Building and Material Expo. in China meeting with suppliers and manufacturers. • Collecting material data and samples to match U.S.A. client design and specifications. • Factory inspection to review quality of manufactured products per client requests. • Attending weekly coordination meeting to review project status.
MGM Podium V.I.P. Junket., Cotai, Macau SAR (Taipa Island) Head Architecture (Short Term Contract) to assist with design and coordination on behalf of their clients MGM. - Oversaw/coordinated all package designs developed by the Design Consultant in Singapore. - Coordinated/compiled all the submissions from Design Consultant and sub contractors and formally submit to MGM Project Team. - Attended progress and design workshop meetings in Macau. - Attended internal sub contractor design and coordination meetings in Hong Kong and Macau. - Review Design Consultant drawings and provide comments if necessary for internal update and revisions.
St. Regis Hotel (Venetian) Macau SAR (T5B Resumption) (Short Term Contract 10 month period) I oversaw the design for the facade systems on the St. Regis hotel podium. Due to many problems midway through the project Sundart Engineering Services Macau contracted me to resolve their coordination and design problems with their sub contractors. - Oversaw all the facade packages (GRC, Stone, Aluminum Panels, Glass Wall and Ceiling) pertaining to the podium. All designs developed by Sundart sub contractors. - Actively arranged meetings with clients and consultants to review issues/design to obtain fast track approval and keep project on track with the new schedule. - Reviewed and coordinated all the shop drawing submissions from sub contractors for formal submission to HCEM. - Attended all Client progress/design meetings, coordinate/resolve site design and interface issues. - Attended internal sub contractor design coordination meetings to assess the status of documentation and site installation progress submissions. - Chase sub contractors for technical/material information and to compile and formally submit to HCEM. - Attended and inspected sub contractors factories in China to review quality, production, fabrication drawings and push progress according to the tight schedule. We were able to bring the project back on track to a new schedule and the hotel opened in December 2015.
Desirable Creations Ltd (David Cheng) contracted as a Sub-Consultant to provide facade conceptual/tender design services to several projects in Hong Kong, China and Vietnam. - Managed, designed and packaged different facade systems (Glass wall, Unitised, Cladding and Canopies to name a few) in Autocad format. - Reviewed and coordinated other consultant designs and provided request for information for the in-house lead engineers design workshop meetings. - Attended internal design meetings to understand the structural and other consultant requirements for detail development.
