About

The world is getting more complex: climate disasters are mounting, regulatory pressures are growing, the energy transition is accelerating, and technologies like AI are disrupting. That’s where I come in. If you are a leader (or seeking to be one), you need to cut through the noise and make the good decisions today that position you for success tomorrow. I specialize in making the complex both understandable and actionable to help you navigate these volatile times. What’s different about my work? In short, my experience and my approach My experience: I spent a decade in finance and management consulting, then moved to the UN where I founded the Risk Centre. There I helped over 100 institutions and regulators identify, measure, and manage their climate and sustainability-related risks. I’ve authored dozens of reports that provide guidance and practical tools for addressing regulatory requirements, mitigating risks, and seizing opportunities. I’ve worked with thousands of professionals to develop skills and capacity in sustainable finance, ESG reporting, and environmental risk management. I’ve been an advisor to major standard-setters and international framework builders including UNEP FI, GFANZ, WBCSD, and more. I’ve presented at COPs and other global summits, and my insights have appeared in the Financial Times, Reuters, and Time Magazine. My approach: I am a systems thinker, who understands how to connect the dots between regulatory requirements, environment considerations, and financial returns. My experiences led me to create a powerful, proven system called Future Perfect to help leaders build the skills and strategies they need to thrive in a time of rapid change. It’s grounded in the methods I use when teaching at places like Cambridge, enriched by real-world case studies, and empowered by innovative AI-tools. The result is highly tailored capacity-building and practical guidance that is purpose-built for real impact. My team of policy, sustainability, and finance experts at D. A. Carlin and Company have used Future Perfect to: • Develop climate stress testing and scenario analysis for regulators • Improve company disclosures under ISSB and CSRD requirements • Train executives on transition and physical risks • Help financial institutions develop new green products • And much more If you’re facing risk, regulatory, or sustainability challenges you should: • Follow me here on LinkedIn • Subscribe to our weekly intelligence briefings • Get in touch for a call to see how I can help
