Nevis Technologies Ltd is a Scottish Company responsible for bringing advanced smartcard ticketing and payment solutions to market. Nevis is the provider of the Bramble smartcard currently in use on the Glasgow subway. The card is used for both tickets and stored value. Nevis also provides ticketing systems to Scotrail, McGill's, Lothian Bus and for the Glasgow Tripper card. These cards can be used interoperably between the service providers. Nevis is a joint venture company between Ecebs (a subsidiary of Visa) and Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT).
