David Bothe is a Associate Director in Frontier's Cologne office and has more than 12 years’ experience as an economic consultant with a strong focus on the energy sector. He has wide experience in the fields of energy markets (particularly electricity and natural gas) and quantitative market analysis and has advised a range of corporate clients in the energy industry (suppliers, traders and network companies) as well as regulatory and governmental authorities across Europe.

David worked as a researcher and consultant at the Institute of Energy Economics in Cologne and headed the institute’s gas practice. In his work he focussed on the development of optimization models and energy market analysis, advising numerous national and international clients on the natural gas market. He lectured on energy economics, environmental economics and economics of the natural gas sector.
