I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, aiming for academic or industrial career paths. My current research focuses on characterizing the impact of unsteady flow-driving on elastic turbulence. I am co-advised by Professors Ronald G. Larson and Christopher A. Browne, and I am honored to be supported as an NSF GRFP fellow. Previously, I had the privilege of working with Professor Ryan Poling-Skutvik, where I characterized the aggregation kinetics of polymer-grafted gold nanoparticles (PGNPs) through dynamic light scattering experiments. Additionally, I spent the summer of 2024 as an NSF-REU intern under Professor Michael J. A. Hore, studying the transport properties of anisotropic PGNPs using depolarized dynamic light scattering. I am broadly interested in using the principles of soft matter physics and complex fluid transport to address critical societal challenges in energy, healthcare, and defense.
