Under minimal supervision, develops and evaluates calibration systems that measure characteristics of objects, substances, or phenomena. Tests and calibrates controlling, indicating, and measuring instruments and devices to ensure specified operating performance, using hand tools, testing and calibrating instruments and equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Performs complex repair and calibration of test equipment. Prepares calibration documentation in accordance with standards.

• Drive continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing methods into production through use of Kaizen tools and 5S events • Participate in various process improvement activities. • Perform inspection duties to include testing and inspection of products. • Process nonconforming material with JD Edwards and Agile software. • Ensure the documentation is complete and accurate and complies with procedures. • Participate in project initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing process. • Perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures. • Communicate with management, engineering resource, and operators with feedback on quality.
I was responsible to set up and operate the laminator machine. Diagnosis and repair or fix any problems with the machine using the PLC, and by setting the right tensions or pressures throughout the machine. Use a DCU to enter and print tags and to keep track of footage. I also operated a fork and prong truck to move rolls and skids.
