I am a pre-sales leader who is passionate about solving customer business challenges with technology. I pride myself on the ability to build high-performing teams, meaningful partnerships with sales, and having strong operational command of the business. I started my career as a software engineer, and through a couple of pivots, found myself making a switch to sales engineering. I lead a team of 31 Solution Consultants and 5 managers, aligning to ServiceNow's Commercial East and South Areas. In this role, I partner with sales to lead and develop strategic initiatives focused on pipeline generation, large account strategy, channel/partner relationships and attracting/retaining top talent.
Manage a 15 person SE organization supporting the Mid-Market Northeast sales area, while maintaining strong technical and sales skills. Geographical coverage spans New England and New York State. Day to day responsibilities include: • Recruit and develop pre-sales engineers covering New England and upstate New York geographies. • Collaborate with product management and product engineering on special projects as well as setting direction for current products • Assist with recruiting and on-boarding resellers and their technical resources • Continue to provide technical pre-sales support and solution validation for the largest opportunities within the area • Help drive best practices and consistency across the Northeast area • Manage post-sales technical challenges to prevent customer dissatisfaction
As a Northeast area level SE, I was involved in the largest sales campaigns throughout the area. Helped drive campaigns to closure via the following: • Articulated EMC’s value proposition via a clear message surrounding the company’s portfolio • Helped architect technical solution to solves customer challenges • Assist with demos and POCs on multiple EMC product lines • Provide competitive analysis and differentiation
Managed a team of post-sales Solutions Architects while maintaining strong architecting skills and designing solutions. Day to day responsibilities included: • Managed a geographically dispersed team located throughout the East Coast of the US as well as in India • Assisted with scoping professional services engagements • Managed problem escalations • Grew the team from 8 to 12 Solution Architects • Mentored/on-boarded team members on new technologies • Assisted sales teams with technical pre-sales support • Delivered technical presentation to large audience at EMC’s 2010 “Architecting Unified Storage” Pre-Sales Conference
