• Provide roving assistance on projects/cases by performing redactions to sensitive documents, assembling attorney binders, document coding and logging/handling cash and check payments • Reception duties including answering phones, sorting mail, distributing contracts and greeting visitors for office of roughly 70 employees • Track office payroll including timecards, case hours, training hours and bureau billing hours • Administrative functions such as booking meeting spaces, trouble-shooting computers and printer issues, and library management
• Evaluate requests for leaves of absence under FMLA, Short-term Disability, state, company, and union policies • Meet strict legal and company deadlines by reviewing new leave requests and medical documentation in 3 days or less • Explain complex policy details to client Human Resources, Managers, and Claimants with varying levels of knowledge of leave laws and policies • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records • Weekly meetings with team members and biweekly meetings with client to review complex cases, ensure consistent application of policy, and to discuss workload • Audit weekly reports to ensure data accuracy
• Process product claims according to terms of warranties and class action lawsuits totaling tens or hundreds of millions of dollars, depending upon product • Assess claims for potential safety hazards to mitigate further liability • Contact claimants and third-parties via phone, email, and mail to resolve discrepancies • Perform audits of both coworkers and third-party inspectors, provide feedback to management for measuring performance • Financial and claims volume reporting via Excel, Oracle, Sharepoint and Powerpoint • Create training materials and train coworkers
