    I was assigned duties to work in the newly developed broker division based on the premise of enhancing relations. The specific handling of broker portfolios allowed for much knowledge enhancement. Continuing from my prior duties as a commercial underwriter, I worked with one of the major brokers within the Barbadian market and developed cordial relationships which allowed us to work closely together to provide insurance solutions for our mutual clients. During my time within the department, I was able to develop an enhanced homeowner’s product which aligned with our broker partner’s expectations. Through my engagement with the brokers, I was able to grow the book of business by 10% during my tenure within the department.

This allowed me to gain experience handling large volumes of business, gain capabilities which involve the handling of large accounts and executing task to capture and retain business, which was paramount.
