Greater Bournemouth Area
I bring over a decade of experience in higher education, with a strong track record of supporting student development and improving learning experiences across universities, heritage organisations, and the third sector. I’m at my best in roles that combine coaching, strategic thinking, and real impact for learners. In my current role, I lead work that connects students with employers and industry networks, giving them access to meaningful opportunities and current insights into the labour market. I design and deliver projects that bring together academic teams, employers, and community partners to create industry-informed events and experiences that align with academic goals and genuinely benefit students. Previously, as a Placement Development Adviser at Bournemouth University, I supported STEM students on industrial placements, offering professional development guidance and fostering strong academic-industry links. I also trained colleagues in process improvement initiatives to enhance learner experiences. As a Lean Six Sigma Improvement Practitioner and approved LCS trainer, I deliver workshops on lean thinking and change management as part of the Value@BU initiative—empowering staff with tools for professional and organisational growth. I hold a Master’s in Heritage Management (Distinction), the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, and a Level 4 Improvement Practitioner Apprenticeship (Distinction). My experience also includes professional Apprenticeship study and five years as a frontline Special Constable in the Emergency Services. I’m passionate about inclusive, learner-centred development and helping others achieve their leadership potential. Let’s connect if you’re interested in early careers development, learner coaching, or operational improvement in education and training.
