I have worked professionally in athletic communications since August 2001, and I have evolved with the business. When I started, we had to wait for a fax machine to get results for away contests and now everything is instantaneous thanks to the internet. I believe that I produce fresh and timely stories for the website and feel that it is important to get the information out to the public as soon as possible. I also believe that videos and social media are essential to the task at hand. Community involvement and marketing are also important for my area of work. I have planned several events including Hall of Fame ceremonies, golf outings, jersey retirement ceremonies in my time. I have also created game day marketing games and assisted with sponsorships since joining the business. I have earned a shout out on a TNT broadcast by Andy Katz for my game notes and have had three plays make ESPN Top-10.

• Created weekly content during pandemic for website and social media (All-Decade fan vote, Scholar-Athlete of the Week, Feature Wednesday and This Day In Goucher Landmark Conference History) • Increased engagement on Facebook through Performance of the Year vote during pandemic with 28,170 people reached (933 percent increase) and 13,327 interactions (535 percent increase) for the month of April • Created an alumnae/I feature to increase alumnae/I engagement • Produced a virtual Athletic Banquet on Facebook Live and You Tube • Initiated and created promotional games at basketball contests during halftime • Created a work-study marketing group to promote athletic events including hosting a Halloween event that included a costume contest at a women’s volleyball match (10-30-19) • Initiated and created the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the first NCAA Tournament win for the college • Collaborated with local televisions stations to produce two features • Assisted with Gopher Madness, a pep rally to promote the basketball teams • Redesigned athletic website including bio pages for both coaches and student-athletes • Served on the Hall of Fame and the Golf Outing committee • Created previews for all sports
