Coordinated the Initiation and Design phases for various interactive applications of the Social Security Administration's website, SSA.Gov . My main task was to insure that the new automated process would meet the same requirements of applicable: law, regulation and agency policy that were followed during the existing manual process, and to also insure that the new application was in compliance with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. To meet these goals, I would gather and coordinate input from internal agency stakeholders, and then serve as mediator to resolve conflicting design inputs from the competing departments. Ultimately, I needed to gain final design consensus and write the Project Scope Agreement which was used as the binding agreement between the agency and the contractor charged with building the application. After the agreement was ratified by each Associate Commissioner, I would continue on primarily in an advisory capacity during the construction phase of the project, but would revert to a managerial role when stakeholders proposed changes to the agreed upon design.
