A simple floor level methodology used is the 5Q's of continuous improvement. * February 2019 -continuous improvement activities towards our ideal state with focus on the relentless pursuit of waste with the 8th waste being people creativity, we want teammate ideas as they are truly the oil that runs the engine. * February 2019 - Implemented visual management in the plant through foot printing and labeling work cells, equipment and other misc. items such as tools and garbage pails. This demands discipline in work areas and cells that ensures everything is back in its foot print at the end of each shift. It gives employees ownership and accountability for their work areas. Employees feel better leaving at the end of the shift and coming in for their shifts with a clean organized area. * Implemented Leader Standard Work - With working Supervisors they tend to get caught up in their every day whirlwind. The whirlwind robs from you from the focus required to execute and move your team forward. LSW is a set of daily, weekly and monthly activites (checklist) of key measurables that are derived from catchball to where Supervisors and myself agree on, which creates a cadence of accountability.
