38 years in the aviation industry. I started as an apprentice aircraft fitter with British Aerospace manufacturing Harrier and Hawk before moving on to work in civil aviation as a mechanic. I gained my UK CAA A+C (B1) licence in 1996 working as an Inspector/Supervisor for FLS Aerospace, gaining types on Boeing 737 series, Boeing 747-200 and Boeing 757. I moved to Ryanair at London Stansted Airport as shift leader in 2002. Over those years I helped the base grow from 3 night-stopping 737-200 aircraft to more than 50 737-800 aircraft by the time I moved into management after 14 years as shift leader. I have held various roles within the Ryanair Engineering management team including Stansted Station Manager, Stansted Hangar Manager and Learjet Technical Operations Manager, responsible for the airworthiness of the Ryanair fleet of 4 AOG support Learjets. My final position within Ryanair was Regional Technical Operations Manager for the Ryanair UK Region (UK, Poland, Scandinavia & Lithuania) I am responsible for the technical operation of around 185 Boeing 737NG and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. I have recently moved to Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi where I hold the position of Senior Manager -Aircraft Maintenance with responsibility for oversight of Line & Light Maintenance.

Current EASA Form 4 holder carrying out ARC inspections (Airworthiness Reviews) on the Ryanair Fleet of Boeing 737NG aircraft. I have assisted the ARC department for the last 5 years, carrying out ARC reviews and inspections alongside my other management roles.
