Hello! I always consider myself as an open-minded, researcher, self-critical, and analytical person. So I am a self-taught developer. I like technology and programming in general.
I am in a dynamic and young team that architects the solutions for the backbone of the main software.
This is a natural gas distribution company. Nevertheless, I was able to program in Python and Javascript in that position. We had three different management (Workforce, Business Process, and Pipeline Integrity) systems and related software (itesisat, ARIS, SPRING). I was assigned to manage those tools because I had a coder mindset. I generally used Python (Pandas, Matplotlib) and MySQL to analyze the reports about field teams including their jobs and performance. Throughout the history of this company, my analytic and algorithmic skills along with Python and other software tools always helped me solve the problems that I have faced.
I was responsible for the maintenance operations of the steel pipeline grid. We were composed of 2 teams, 1 foreman and me. It was mostly about preventive maintenance and getting to know the behavior of natural gas and the mechanics of the equipment such as regulator valves and meters. I leveraged my Excel knowledge that I had developed in my former position. After seeing my talent my managers decided to create a role called "system support engineer" where I will be able to code in Python.
In this position, I needed to manage over 3.000 different materials and over 150 suppliers. To help this I learned VBA-Excel, and some SQL to query our ERP app (Tiger). Also, I used the navigator tool which is a kind of extension that connects the ERP system to MS Excel. This was the first time I encounter with programming.
