I am interested in applying for any biological or laboratory position. I believe that I am a well suited candidate for this position because I do have experience participating in a research project and have experience organizing and interpreting data. In my previous position as a researcher for the SIRIUS project I was expected to find, identify, and explain how and why the microbe ,that was cultured, was found in the American River. The skills that I obtained from the SIRIUS project, such as organizing research data, facilitating and coordinating with a team will bring a refreshing perspective to the job. I am confident in my abilities to operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment and to keep records of results. I believe that my adaptable abilities allow me to use my skills when successfully gathering important information that will be to my advantage when completing multiple tasks. I believe that organization and time management is an important asset that an efficient researcher must have. I have multiple experience on culturing bacterial species, and performing tests on unknown microbial species to identify what the species is. This was done by trial and error tests and recording results and matching it with results previously done by other researchers to match the unknown microbe results with a known microbe results to id. the microbe. I believe my experience with matching and recording results would be a boon to the job.
