It has been my privilege to work with clients of all ages and walks of life to not only navigate crises but also achieve greater well-being. My approach is honest, collaborative, and heart-centered. Particularly, my clinical skills draw upon Family System therapies, Mindfulness-based therapies, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Existential Group Therapy. I've worked with individuals facing relational conflicts, problematic issues related to parenting, depression and bi-polar disorders, anxiety disorders, thought disorders including psychosis, and those who are seeking greater happiness and fulfillment in their daily lives. My goals include continuing to support people as they navigate life's challenges, as they seek greater stability, and as they develop greater insights. I'm very excited to work with multidisciplinary teams and apply effective and innovative clinical approaches.
Duties include: . Completing psychosocial assessments for children, adolescents, and adults .Providing group therapy for patients of all ages incorporating mindfulness and developing coping skills .Developing safety plans and working to link patients with crisis services and follow-up care .Conducting family meetings to address the course of treatment, discuss triggers, signs of escalation and steps to take to prevent re-admission when indicated .Working with the child welfare system to assure safety for minor patients and address needs of patients who are already placed with Child Protective Services .Tracking status of legal holds and working with various counties to assure adequate stabilization and continuity of care. .Attending multi-disciplinary treatment planning for each patient .Developing and updating community resources in the Northern California service area .Attending county Youth Suicide Prevention Task Force meetings .Facilitating Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) curriculum for staff resulting in reduced restraints and seclusions .Teaching MBSR series to members of the community through John Muir' Women's Health Center
