- Lead a Team of Category Buyer/Category Manager - Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) process, implements effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy ensuring that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. Ensures all relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly. -Manages planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts. Minimizes risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines. - Ensures identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost and sustainability) in accordance with Company policies. Defines and establishes local and global standard agreements with all major suppliers. Provides and maintains standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines.
Implemented a "No Purchase Order-No Pay" policy, Payment Term harmonization, and the implementation of Purchase-to-Pay collaboration meetings, which improved the process from 60-70% to 90%+ payment-on-time. Front-led commercial negotiations worth approximately CHF 10 million per year, achieving significant cost reduction in each project. Managed and led Transportation volume with a focus on global service availability and cost. Transportation cost savings of xx% totaling CHF x million per year, were realized by bundling and tendering the transport volume of approximately CHF 30 million for the Division Process Automation
