Hi, I’m Darren, an experienced professional who exercises my creativity, patience, and resourcefulness to cultivate the potential growth and connection with others and motivate them to be their best. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, which helped me establish effective communication and provided me with experience in problem solving and relationship building. Applying those principles to higher education and information technology, I'm able to invest myself in others, facilitate growth, and be forward thinking to encourage efficiency and celebrate improvement (that "A-Ha!" moment!). Music and songwriting is a passion of mine, and throughout my life, songwriting provided me a valuable outlet to express myself and create connections with others. My music project, THESE WOLVES, has reached over over 3 million streams across all music platforms, and my songs - “Dead To Me", "Enough Is Enough" and "Dead to Rights" (Hangman Adam Page) were featured on network television and HBO Max. My combined discipline and experience has also allowed me to be adaptable to ever-changing industries and thrive in many of my interests such as audio and video production, camera operation, producing, storytelling, technical and academic writing, print and digital marketing, and voice-over work.
I hosted 180 Minutes - a weekly, 3 hour rock radio show on WFDU.fm. I also compiled all music, recorded on air promos, and brought in underwriting/donations for the station through fund drives.
