Team Lead Planning Engineering About Norske Shell 2 Assets: - Draugen Oil Platform – 21 years old (it is already beyond original design life and application for extension has been submitted.) Draugen now produces circa 60K BOE/day, has a 125 Persons on Board (POB) Limit and is located circa 150km north of Shell’s Kristiansund Office, from where it is operated. Kristiansund is 760km north of Risavika (Stavanger.) Shell has a 44.56% share of the licence. All major and minor projects that are executed on the Platform topsides are done so via an EPCm arrangement with Aibel. The contract was let in Feb 2012 and involves EPCm offices in Stavanger, Oslo, Kristiansund and Harstad. Aibel also carry out FEED studies for the smaller projects in the portfolio. Several separate EPCi contracts take care of the various Subsea Umbilical Riser and Flowline (SURF) work scopes. The Wells department arranges drilling activities, giving us another critical interface to manage. Ormen Lange Gas Field – On stream since 2007, is situated 120 km northwest of Kristiansund, in up to 1,100 metres water depth. The field was developed using 24 subsea wellheads in four seabed templates which are connected directly, by two 30 inch pipelines, to the onshore process terminal at Nyhamna, on the island of Aukra. The gas is processed and sent by pipeline (Langeled) 1,200 km to England. The field produces 70 million cubic meters of natural gas per day. Shell is operator 18% stake. All major and minor projects that are executed at the Nyhamna site are done so via an EPCm arrangement with Kvaerna. The contract was let in April 2012 and involves EPCm offices in Stord, Oslo, Kristiansund and Tromsø. The portfolio of projects range from 1M$ like for like equipment swap outs, to 5BN$ 1st of a kind, technology developments. Almost all the projects are brownfield in nature and require full interaction with Operations and Maintenance. Of the 35 projects, around 14 are in execution with another 9 post DG3.

Team Lead - Global Planning Tools Design and Implementation of Global Planning Tool, Shell Standard Primavera. Primary objective was to globally host and configure Oracle P6, in such a way to support standardised development and execution of major capital projects aligned to Shell's Opportunity Realisation Standard (ORS). My initial role was to support the existing Team Lead, who had 29 years Shell experience at time of retirement - which was 1 year after my start date; to implement this change project by converting all of Shell’s Planning Engineering community, across all Projects and Operating Assets, onto 1 simplified, standardised toolset and configuration. When the project started we had many versions of Primavera and/or other Planning Software being used by the company. This made getting “One way of doing Shell Projects” impossible. As a Planning Engineer and not an IT person, my initial job as Configuration Architect, was to ensure that the business requirements of the “end user”, ie the Planning Engineer, were not compromised as part of the change project - part funded by Shell IT and the related IAP Project. I hoped and had the vision that one day I would be utilising the toolset myself for planning real O&G development Projects, this was a great help in staying focused and motivated me to ensure IT challenges on my requirements where properly addressed. I took over the Project, after transition 2009. I inherited a small but dedicated team consisting of a long term Shell Contractor/Direct Hire and an Ecosys Primavera Consultant in Rijswijk NL. One of the tasks I had worked on during the previous year was to set up the dedicated permanent Primavera support organisation – which was to be based in Cyberjaya KL. I screened CV’s and participated in final interviews of the key staff who would become key, extended, remote working members of the project team, once on board. The KL team transformed the fortunes of the project, without them it would have failed.
