Leading the operating model design for several areas of business for this household name retailer, including the ECommerce business, Retail Financial Services, and workstreams of the HR Transformation Program. Working as part of a wider efficiency and productivity Programme, and with key senior stakeholders, to define new ways of working and revised organisation structures to ensure the business functions are fit for the future, while delivering target efficiency cost savings.
Managing the government procurement project to identify and contract a new third party supplier to deliver the on-site infrastructure elements from the segmentation of a traditional holistic technology partner outsource contract. This included contribution to the design for appropriate internal capabilities to manage the new supplier environment, including the development of service integration management capabilities.
Direction of the Global Infrastructure Transformation Portfolio, six programmes and circa thirty concurrent change projects, and an annual budget of circa £12m. Darren stepped in as an interim resource to manage this programme while a new third party partner was sourced and onboarded to provide P3 skills and capabilities to DEFRA.
