  • VP Project Development at IMPERATIVE GLOBAL

    Working with partners to develop, structure, finance and implement carbon projects, with a focus on nature based solutions and ecosystem restoration.

  • Executive, Capital Raising & Business Development at Climate Fund Managers B.V.

    Together with my team, responsible for developing the investment strategy and mandate for new climate change relevant investment funds at Climate Fund Managers and bringing them into the market. Responsible for building blended finance equity investment funds, raising and contracting capital commitments from public sector, multilateral and development finance institutions as well as commercial and institutional capital. CFM has raised USD 850m for Climate Investor One, a renewable energy investment mandate for global emerging markets, with Final Close in June 2019. Investors include the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Green Climate Fund, the European Commission and a further 15 public and commercial investors. CFM was awarded the EUR 160m Dutch Fund for Climate and Development in May 2019, as part of a consortium including the Development Bank of the Netherlands (FMO), the World Wildlife Foundation and SNV Netherlands Development Organization. This investment formed the seed capital for Climate Investor Two, a global emerging markets water, sanitation and oceans fund which reached a First Close of USD 675m in November 2021.

  • Investment Officer, Energy Project Finance at FMO - Dutch Development Bank

    Responsible for structuring project finance debt packages in Energy projects in Asia. This primarily involves structuring senior debt for up to 75% of total project costs. Day-to-day activities include deal sourcing, deal structuring, on-site due diligence, internal approvals, contracting and monitoring. Primary focus to date is wind, solar and hydro in the Philippines, India, Pakistan and Nepal.

Responsible for managing a portfolio of existing Energy clients, consisting of utility power plants as well as private equity funds and direct equity investments in start-up off-grid solar companies. Supported Investment Officers in deal origination, due diligence and structuring including extensive financial model analysis and scenario modelling, term sheet negotiations and legal documentation. Experience across wind, hydro, solar, geothermal and gas power plants in South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Pakistan, Philippines, Nepal, Nicaragua, Colombia and Panama.
