I have many years experience teaching culturally diverse adult learners. The majority of this teaching has revolved around preparing students for further study and or work. I have also taught many special interest language classes. I moved into adult literacy and numeracy instruction approximately 6 years ago but I am now working within the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) which is part of the migrant settlement service provided by the Dept of Edu and Training. I have successfully transferred my knowledge and skills across a range of subjects, institutions and learner profiles at various levels on many occasions. I am extremely versatile. I'm looking for opportunities that will allow me to expand my skills and knowledge.
I am currently teaching on the Adult Migrant English Program Distance Learning via Skype. I have a range of CALD students at varying English language levels.
I taught language, literacy and numeracy to adult students from every cultural background and across every level so that they could either prepare for future study or gain employment.
I taught foreign students academic English so that they could join mainstream tertiary programs.
I taught various aspects of an AUSAID pre-departure program so that AUSAID scholarship students could embark on studies in Australia. I also, prepared students for the IELTS exams, assessed employees' English language abilities and conducted several ESP classes.
