A masters graduate of the MSc in Management course at the National College of Ireland, with a bachelors in Marketing Practice also from NCI. Currently working as part of stock control at Tesco Ireland, with skills spanning other areas of retail; from merchandising and planograms, to customer service and supervision. Always eager to learn and develop within the retail environment and beyond, combining my skills, hobbies, and education with my work!
•Utilised Softworks Time and Attendance payroll system to rectify errors in employees’ payroll by a daily deadline to ensure all 250+ colleagues in-store were paid correctly. •Aided colleagues in raising queries relating to incorrect payments, their entitlements, and other concerns or questions. •Helped colleagues with the transition to paperless payslips, particularly colleagues with disabilities and older colleagues.
•Ensured legal compliance through my work on the Price Integrity department, changing often thousands of shelf edge labels and point of sale daily before trade began to avoid incorrectly charging consumers. •Attended monthly Compliance Team Leader training sessions covering topics such as food safety, fire safety, consumer protections, and more. •Worked using Tesco’s electronic automated ordering system, rectifying errors, deep diving into problems with specific lines, and explaining stock movements to managements or brand representatives as a member of Stock Control •Implemented weekly changes to merchandising plans sent down from head office as part of the Planograms department, adjusting plans when obstacles appeared, either through relaying with management or using own initiative when needed.
Worked across various areas of the customer facing roles involved in front end as part of Tesco Ireland, such as: •Dealing with customer complaints and queries while serving on the customer service desk •Working independently on a till, handling cash and delivering great customer service •Manning the self service checkouts, dealing with several customers at once in a calm and collected manner, even during busy seasonal periods
