Over the past two years, I’ve faced and successfully overcome a variety of challenges — from assisting distressed or unwell customers professionally, to managing stock flow and ensuring product availability, to working efficiently under pressure during peak hours. These experiences have strengthened my ability to stay calm and organized in demanding situations. Work as a Sailing Coach for beginner Optimist sailors at the historic Ida Lewis Yacht Club in Newport, Rhode Island. I plan and deliver engaging, skill-focused training sessions designed to build confidence, teamwork, and sailing proficiency. I conduct thorough risk assessments and safety checks before each session to ensure a secure learning environment. I present clear and effective theory lessons on sailing fundamentals, including wind awareness, boat handling, and racing techniques. As with any role, challenges arise, but in sailing it is especially important to resolve issues with safety as the top priority, which I consistently ensure. Adapting to a new culture in the USA enhances my communication, adaptability, and leadership skills while inspiring young sailors and fostering a lifelong passion for the sport.
