Currently based in New York City, I lead Community at Rillet, with a broader focus across Analyst Relations and Communications. I’ve spent the last several years building communities and shaping narratives for modern finance and procurement teams, with one goal in mind: help operators spend less time wrestling broken systems and more time driving the business forward. I started my career in journalism, which is where I learned how to find the real story, ask better questions, and turn complicated topics into something people actually want to read. I studied English Literature and Irish (yes, it’s as niche as it sounds) and later completed a Master’s in Digital Journalism, which set me up to work across media, PR, and marketing. Before Rillet, I was at Zip, where I helped build and scale customer community and programming for procurement and finance leaders. That work sat at the intersection of community, content, and events, bringing together practitioners to share what’s working, what’s not, and what the future should look like. A big theme that kept coming up, across customers and conversations: even the best finance and procurement tooling still gets held back by legacy ERPs. Prior to Zip, I spent four years at Airbase, where I led communications and community strategy and helped grow a 6,000+ member Slack-based finance community organically. I worked across PR, storytelling, campaigns, and community programs, partnering closely with teams across the company to build momentum and deliver measurable impact. Earlier in my career, I worked at FleishmanHillard as a Senior Account Executive, running integrated comms campaigns for brands including Fitbit, Cadbury, SuperValu, and GoFundMe. These days, I’m focused on building community-led programs, creating strong operator narratives, and helping companies earn trust in crowded markets through relationships, clarity, and real customer value.
. Built and scaled Rillet's Close Club community from the ground up — a curated network of 1000+ CFOs, Controllers, and finance practitioners at high-growth companies . Own end-to-end community programming: in-person dinners and regional meetups, virtual roundtables, AMAs, breakout rooms, and member-driven content . Developed a community-led storytelling engine: customer spotlights, operator insights, and member thought . leadership that feeds product, sales, and marketing . Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to turn community into a driver of adoption, retention, and customer advocacy . Lead Analyst Relations — mapping priority firms and analysts, coordinating briefings, and managing outreach and follow-ups . Lead communications and PR support: narrative development, messaging, and coordination with external partners and media . Track and report community health metrics — growth, engagement, and business impact — back to leadership and key stakeholders
I lead community marketing at Zip, where we’re building the go-to hub for procurement and finance leaders. A space that feels more like a network than a program. My work focuses on turning customers into advocates, ideas into conversations, and conversations into growth. What that actually means day to day: - Launching and scaling Zip’s community across Slack, events, and thought-leadership channels. - Running flagship experiences like Zip Forward, local community dinners, and themed roundtables. - Partnering with leadership, marketing, CS, sales and product to make sure community insights feed back into how we build and market Zip. - Driving organic social and influencer strategy, turning our customers and champions into the faces of modern procurement. - Measuring and growing engagement, membership, and event impact across every region. The goal’s simple: make Zip the most connected, human-centered brand in procurement, where every customer feels part of something bigger than software.
