About

Dario is a Ph.D. Candidate in Arbitration & Dispute Resolution (Arb&DR) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and a Visiting Professor at the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) and the National University of Management (NUM). He has an international background with legal education in civil law and common law jurisdictions. He holds an LL.M. in International Arbitration & Dispute Resolution (IADR) from the National University of Singapore (NUS), a CAS in Arbitration from the University of Lucerne (UNILU) and the University of Neuchâtel (UniNE) in cooperation with the Swiss Arbitration Academy (SAA), and a J.D. from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC). Furthermore, he has obtained several international arbitration certificates awarded by renowned academic and professional institutions worldwide. He has significant experience working at arbitral institutions such as the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), and the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC). He participated in several tribunal secretary training programmes, including one organised by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and he is listed as a Tribunal Secretary at various arbitral institutions across the Asia-Pacific region (HKIAC, MCIA, SCIA&SCIAHK, THAC, TIAC). He is admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb), and several other institutes of arbitrators (AMINZ, HKIArb, MIArb, PIArb). He is an IMI Qualified Mediator and is accredited by the standards of the leading mediation providers in Singapore and Hong Kong (SMC, SIMI, HKMAAL). His participation in the 22nd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (2015), where his team obtained an honourable mention for being ranked among the best 64 teams at the oral phase, sparked his passion for arbitration. Since 2017, he has actively advised and coached different universities. He also participates regularly as an arbitrator in the competitions held each year in Vienna and Hong Kong.
