I graduated from Chihlee University of Technology, obtaining my Bachelor degree in Business Administration. During my University days, I took on night classes while working full time during the day. At the University, I was able to take part in various leadership roles. Through these roles, I learned that the one fundamental rule to leadership is to deliver opinions and goals clearly in order to allow everyone to work together without hesitation or confusion. Working for nearly 16 years, I further realized that the significance of holding a job is not just about making a living to support yourself, but rather a journey of self realization. For example, I have had the experience of being a car salesperson for a year. In this job, I learned that the quickest way to get a car sold is not by persuading your customers with fancy words but rather to listen and understand what the customer truly needs and provide them with a good solution. Because we live in an informational society, computer proficiency is important to me. Thus, I have trained myself with the latest computer technology and obtained relevant certificates including the office system which is most widely used in Taiwanese enterprises, called Smart ERP. In addition, in order to enrich my ordinary life, I entered the accounting field in 2008. With only 6 months preparation, I passed the exam of certified public accountant in 2010. Hence I have the solid understanding of the tax rules in Taiwan. Though there are obvious differences between the tax laws of the United States and Taiwan, I believe that I have what it takes to adapt and make the necessary transition when it comes to progressing in my career, no matter what field that may be.
