I am the Founder & Curator of Electrix Vintage, a vintage clothing brand I started in 2020 as a quarantine project to declutter my closet, which quickly evolved into a passion for curating & creating clothing that tells a story. Starting in New Jersey online only, growing slowly into a retail shop & studio within three years. After moving operations to New York City, what began with selling vintage finds online has grown into a multi-dimensional brand offering styling services, costume design, pop-up shops like our fan-favorite $10 Fill-A-Bag Sales, & more. We are currently based out of our Brooklyn studio/showroom where we host private shopping appointments & styling pulls. I was awarded with the New Jersey Global Student Entrepreneur Award in 2024 & placed as a Finalist in North America. As the Fashion Director of Nabi Magazine, I dictate the mood, references, materials, brands, & fashion direction of the Spring 2026 issue. Working closely with the Editor-in-Chief, I develop digital concepts, organize pulls, & build editorial looks. I also work to increase brand visibility through NYFW activations, branded events, & strategic partnerships including Red Bull & Otherworldy Sweets. My Wardrobe & Editorial Styling credits include a variety of work with clients & brands, from day-to-day outfit outlines to magazine covers. I am an all-in-one "Wardrobe Manager", helping with personal shopping, closet curating, clearing out old clothing & facilitating offloading/selling of goods, & driving successful brand partnerships & campaign visibility via curating a client's look. My editorial work speaks more so to story, keeping nostalgia & anything that will pull on your heartstrings at the forefront of my work. Working as a Costume Designer has been a journey, from my first passions for acting in elementary & high school, to costuming Off-Broadway runs of original plays like The Glitch, adapted favorites like Little Women, short films + producing a short series, & more. I develop teams for productions, managing costume from first fitting to finding backstage/production dressers/assistants as needed. I recently graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with an AAS in Fashion Business Management, currently pursuing my Bachelors.
2024 NJ Global Student Entrepreneur Award Winner & North America Finalist. Founded in 2020 by a then 15-year-old Danny Colon in New Jersey, Electrix started as an effort to declutter his own closet during quarantine. However, Danny soon discovered his passion for curating unique vintage clothing. Now Electrix has expanded to offer original clothing, styling services, pop-up events, a new Brooklyn showroom/studio, and 2 former retail stores in Manasquan, New Jersey. As part of every pop-up event we participate in, a portion of our sales is donated to I.F.C. United - an organization dedicated to supporting individuals in need that larger corporate charities may overlook. Featured on News 12 NJ, Asbury Park Press, FIT's Blush Magazine, & more.
