I am a lead test engineer for Northrop Grumman - Deployables Operating Unit. I am responsible for ensuring all requirements verified by test are met. That entails mapping requirements, designing tests, coordinating equipment and technician resources, overseeing testing of qualification and flight hardware, analyzing test data, and writing test reports.
I oversaw our staff in the completion of miscellaneous maintenance tasks. I was responsible for controlling work flow and project scheduling in order to best utilize our staff's time. In addition, I managed the delivery of mail and packages throughout the entire building. Through daily interactions with faculty and staff, I improved my customer service and written communication skills.
I worked at the Verso paper mill located in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. I was responsible for analyzing real-time data to ensure the machines ran with the highest possible output, while still maintaining a first-rate product for our customers. In addition, I inspected samples and recorded quality issues in order to resolve reoccurring paper defects. This experience refined my computer skills, specifically in Excel, and forced me to organize and present data in a way that makes sense for all viewers.
I was part of a team of four that worked to bring an innovative, portable solar technology to campus in the hopes of raising awareness for sustainability and the use of renewable energy. We designed a durable, lightweight frame out of square tube aluminum, and attached a laminate, silicon solar cell module to the top at an optimal angle. Two 12v batteries were hidden under the panel to enable energy storage. Our idea was to set up the rover at outdoor student/university events and either allow people to charge their phones or use the energy to power certain aspects of the event.
I was responsible for managing the Pro Shop and opening and closing the shop independently. I built communication skills through small talk with members and handling member complaints. In addition, I assisted the Bag Room staff and provided leadership to junior employees.
