• Responsible for all group related reporting requirements monthly / quarterly and yearly. • Responsible for regulatory reporting to BNM (Bank Negara Malaysia), MDEC and Department of Statistics. • Key person in liaising with external auditors to ensure publication of financial statements on time in full. • Ensure all reporting standards, IFRS and Local Requirements are adhered to. • Drive month end closing tasks and deliverables ensuring financial integrity. • Manage accounts receivables collections to drive settlement of long outstanding invoices. • Participate in continuous improvement opportunities.
• Manage a team to deliver Group Management and Statutory Reporting information in line with the agreed service level agreements of end markets. Group Management information includes financial information and scenarios required for S&OP meetings, QPRS, budget and for actuals. This includes coordination of assumption and other data inputs, running the forecasting process activities, preparation and generation of financial information and quality review prior to releasing to the customer for approval. • Achieve business objectives by providing quality financial reporting information and analysis support for end markets. • Monitor and control activities related to General Accounting processing system(s) to assure correct accounting reporting and system controls. • Handle accounting policy and procedure inquiries as well as ad hoc reporting and analysis requests; provide periodic customer/site training. • Ensure customer needs and relationships are fulfilled and enhanced through proactive involvement and interaction. • Understand the functionality, interfaces, and interdependencies of the financial processes and systems; ensure the existence of adequate internal controls. • Drive the implementation of Business Planning and Consolidation tools in end markets and the resultant, HFM decommissioning. • Point of contact for Statutory Reporting information related queries for Group. • Drive coordination and preparation for the function during internal audit.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of information reports produced for end markets. • Responsible for analytical reporting on production overheads, product cost and price variances as well as improvement of all processes for effective monitoring and reporting of such variances. • Prepare accurate and timely gross margins & actual profit loss account for the manufacturing functions up to contribution stage together with detailed product cost breakdown for profit reporting (actual and forecast) in line with EMF and IBPM cycles. • Prepare annual Product Costing and transfer pricing as well as assist Operations Finance Managers in the end markets to identify opportunities to reduce costs and optimise assets within this process and on an on-going basis. • Perform valuation of leaf, wrapping and finished goods stocks. To ensure all stock balances are accurate and to follow-up on any discrepancies. • Assist end markets in providing information for year end, internal and statutory auditors. • Monitor resource use and manage resource allocation to maximise team resources. • Resolve and manage team conflict with sensitivity, tact and fairness to build positive work environment. • Conduct frequent team members’ performance evaluation and review against performance objectives set, to manage team’s performance. • Counsel team members on career development to help them achieve their full potentials and to have an effective succession planning overall. • Continue to improve the control environment for R2R, through training and awareness building. • Assist manager in planning and preparing budgets for company planning purposes. • Identify and actively pursue continuous improvement opportunities to increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of processes in BASS. • Assist manager to look for business development opportunities to expand scopes of activities in BASS to build scale.
• Prepare and manage Statutory, Budgets and Forecast reporting for Profit and Loss and Volume for end markets. • Reporting of monthly end market's profit results including commentaries – Causes of change analyses for end market LT dashboards as well as BI data validation and sign off. • Assist end market with yearend profit planning and delivery. • Provide administration and coordinate for planning periods for end market. • Perform the reconciliation between Statutory and Forecast Financial Statements and provide variance analysis. • Ensure the accuracy of the financial data posted. • Support in analysis of Coplan and QPR financial information, obtain clarification where is needed and prepare the summaries. • Perform monthly accruals calculation. Ensure the accuracy of the financial data posted and actively monitor the accruals balance. • Ensure proper design and implementation of WBS structure, cost centres and system reports in order to increase efficiency and to properly reflect economic and legislative changes. • Perform ad hoc analysis as required for planning scenarios. • Assist managers to deliver against the company plan in terms of planned migrations within the profit framework and ad-hoc analysis and activities in order to achieve company’s overall objectives. • Lead, assist and support the training and development of team members to meet the expected skills required to perform at role level. • Monitor resource use and manage resource allocation to maximise team resources.
