Having evolved in my personal career I started my own company (see above) and started working with various companies. I remain with Cardmarket continuing my previous role as Head of Business Development, now as Strategic Business Consultant, working closely with Executives and business partners to continue developing and growing the business for Cardmarket.
As Head of Business Development I am responsible for Cardmarket's Business Development Team. Within this function I oversee the full department with a core goal to identify opportunities for our business within our market, identifying weaknesses, strengths, opportunities and more to help grow our business and provide valuable information to other departments, such as the Marketing department, to help improve their activities in specific markets. As Head of Public Events & Partnerships, I oversaw two teams: The Organized Play team, who oversee our events & store program with over 400 stores, and our Sponsorship & Partnership team, handling all our Partnerships with other companies, strategic partners, websites, stores, pro-players and influencers. In this position I was the primary point of contact for all high-profile business relations, such as Deutsche Post, Wizards of the Coast, The Pokémon Company international, Bandai Co. Ltd., and more, cultivating relations and collaborations with our valued partners. Key Responsibilities include: - High profile relations management - Partnership & influencer management - Cross-department communication and strategic planning - Negotiations - Budgeting - Event management Additionally, I supported the Head of Marketing with her responsibilities running the Marketing department with day-to-day operations.
For three years, I ran my own business, importing and selling products from Japan and local distributors. This was a fantastic experience allowing me to learn the trade of running your own (trading card & board game) game store, allowing me to better support businesses within the industry.
As All-Round employee, I worked on all departments of the supermarket. I was known as the 'Jack of all trades', able to quickly adapt and work behind the register, as a baker, cleaning crew, stocking team and even as Team Lead when needed.
As Shift Supervisor I oversaw the day-to-day operations and team management within the supermarket, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and finishes on time, taking care of any issues along the way. In addition, I acted as interim-manager when the Manager was not on-site.
